Our Story
Founded by Sareen Shikalgar, an architect and Interior designer, Tiny Design is an interior design and styling studio rooted in the belief that spaces should feel personal, almost like a journal of lived experiences. What started as small, intuitive design practice has grown into a studio that blends modern sensibilities in a way that feels intentional. Design isn't about perfection, it's about storytelling.
At tiny design it isn't about unattainable perfection. It's about interiors that feel like home—personal, layered, filled with stories. Like flipping through an architect's journal, where ideas, sketches, and thoughts come together organically, each project is approached with a sense of experimentation and heartfelt creativity.
How it all began
Tiny Design started in a tiny Mumbai apartment, with no plan just a love for designing spaces. It began with simple room makeovers, done just for fun, rearranging furniture, adding little details here and there and making spaces feel like home. Slowly, what started as a passion turned into something more, and Tiny Design grew into a studio that now takes on interior design and styling projects.
The name Tiny reflects those small beginnings. But tiny doesn't mean limited. Tiny Design is about starting small but dreaming big, about finding beauty in everyday things and believing that good design doesn't have to be exclusive.
Our Approach
We don't follow trends. We design spaces that feel timeless and personal. We love mixing old with new, a modern space with a vintage detail, a clean layout with a touch of nostalgia.
We celebrate imperfection because real homes aren't picture perfect, they are lived-in and loved. We keep things simple—design doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming.
